A wonderful commentary series with an emphasis on biblical theology. Please note: this isn't a typical commentary series. Please look up what "biblical theology" is, if you do not know. It is not "systematic theology," which some may incorrectly expect. It is a very specific type of theology. It is how a theological idea or theme evolves and develops, especially from book to book and between testaments. These are the marks of the single author (God) throughout the scriptures. It is a brilliant and profound way to find powerful insights in the scriptures. Highly recommend this series, especially with the quality of the authors. It should be obvious, but you are ONLY receiving 8 of the already published volumes of this series, not a license to then get all 66 once they come out. Still, the books here are more than worth it.

Excellent series. It is difficult to make a proper theology commentary. As a scholar and pastor, I have this series on my top 3 for reference along side another exegetical series and in-depth Greek series. The scholars that author this series are top notch and I have no doubt that this series will find itself in many churches and classrooms. I am very excited for future books to be published, because I will certainly be buying them for my library.

I have a question, if you buy this series do you get all 66 volumes eventually? Or do you only pay for the ones that have been published?

I purchased the commentary set recently during March Matchups sale and am absolutely loving it. I started with Romans and am finding it to be top notch while remaining crisp and precise. I own many commentaries on Romans but this one stands out with its promise of biblical theology and sound exegesis. Volumes on Hebrews and Psalms also look promising. Scholarly exegesis, biblical theology, and life application are some of the features of this new commentary set. A great buy!
